These books were awesome (I believe they still are) - grade 1 and 2 students' reads in Zimbabwe by V. Jenkins and C. Lewis. Early literacy joining the adventures of Tatenda, David, Jenny and Chipo. Oh yeah and Sam the monkey as well as Rex the puppy!!
